Physical theatre standard-bearer Shuji Onodera transforms the story of Princess Kaguya into a whole new kind of fairy tale
The ninth in a popular series of contemporary adaptations of Noh plays by Setagaya Public Theatre, this is an update of the Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, the oldest Japanese prose narrative. Here Shuji Onodera brings his unique approach of mime integrated with dialogue and a richly physical theatre style to a classic piece of folklore. The cast includes Satomi Kobayashi and Shihori Kanjiya.
