The Silver Tassie

The lives of young football players are radically changed by war in this tragedy sharply portraying a society that tolerates sacrifice.

Shintaro Mori continues to enjoy a fresh and exciting status as a leading director in Japanese theatre. His latest production is this Japanese premiere of the well-known anti-war play by the Irish dramatist Seán O’Casey that vividly intermixes song, comedy, and tragedy.
