Yuichi KinoshitaKinoshita-Kabuki

Leader of Kinoshita-Kabuki

Born in Wakayama City in 1985. He taught himself Rakugo after hearing it for the first time in elementary school, and after this he continued to explore his interest in the classical stage arts of Japan. He formed Kinoshita-Kabuki in order to direct and oversee new fringe productions of Kabuki plays. A three-year Kyoto-Yokohama collaborative project produced a successful staging of the full version of the "Yoshitsune and the Thousand Cherry Trees" and he also took part in the Theatre University program at F/T09 Autumn.
