A quiet masterpiece about family and human connections

The ala Collection Series focuses on reviving superb plays with casts and creative teams who stay in the Gifu Prefecture city of Kani, before taking the productions on tour around Japan. This award-winning play by Masataka Matsuda, here staged by the leading contemporary theatre director Masanori Takahashi, intricately depicts interpersonal connections and strife as well as family relations and affection against a vivid backdrop of everyday life.
