Summary
Director Nobusuke Kashima says that theatre is an "act of commemoration for a lost experience". His company Jyuuryoku/Note has staged plays by Chikao Tanaka and Masataka Matsuda, and now turns to Elfriede Jelinek's "Wolken. Heim." (Clouds. Home.), a work that draws on texts by the likes of Heidegger and Hegel dealing with the German race, state and its history, and asks how illusions of nation and communality are created.
