A 1960's propaganda film evolves into the present
Théâtre du Rêve Expérimental, led by Chong Wang, were established in Beijing in 2008 and have since performed in America, Europe and Asia. As well as original plays, the company also stages modern European drama and also work utilizing documentary theatre and multi-media techniques, in the process causing a big splash in the Chinese theatre scene. This performance takes for its subject a 1960's propaganda film, ironically exploring how the situation has changed since the time when the film was made and the present, when global information arrives in real time.
