A Madman's Diary

New Youth Group [China]

Direction: Jianjun Li [China]
November 10 (Sat) - November 11 (Sun) Owlspot Theater

Summary

This piece by New Youth Group is based on Xun Luʼs novella, "A Madmanʼs Diary", which looks at the friction between modernity and existing social systems, and asks if the society where you cannot freely choose what you believe is really over. On a stage covered in ruins and booming with ear- splitting guitar noise, 100-year questions continue down to us in the present.
